WHEN SAYING “THANK YOU…,” FEELS LIKE IT’S NOT - TopicsExpress

WHEN SAYING “THANK YOU…,” FEELS LIKE IT’S NOT ENOUGH Sometimes saying “thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough. I have been blessed in so many different ways over the year that I feel like a simple “thanks” is not adequate. What am I saying? An elaborate “thank you” doesn’t seem to be enough either. How do you convey to someone that what they have done for you was unexpected, gracious and more than generous? I have been thinking about the blessings in my life as of late its seems…, intensely! Don’t get me wrong, I count my blessings every day, wishing my mind would retain each one so that I could just say, “Thank You” over and over again. Over the past few months I have been overwhelmed by many things. I thank God for them (talk about a simple “thank you” sounding quite weak) and I thank others verbally or by sending cards but these kinds of blessings deserve shouts and jumps for joy. The more I think about the “perfect thank you”, the more I think that the only way to show gratitude is to be a “blessing” to someone else. Maybe a blessing isn’t meant to be re-paid, but meant to be passed on. Kind of like the love of God. You cannot repay God for the love and the sacrifice (not to mention the grace). I’m feel in my sprit the words to the gospel classic, You Cant Beat Gods Giving. You Can’t Beat God Giving… No matter how hard you try… The words are simply yet powerful. all wrapped together… YOU CANT BEAT GODS GIVING You cant beat God giving, No matter how hard you try And just as sure as you are living And the Lord is in heaven on high The more you give the more He gives to you But keep on giving because its really true that You cant beat God giving, No matter how you try Should we receive and never give The Saviour died that we might live His life on Calvary He gladly gave Our sinful souls to save He gives me health, He keeps me strong He guides me when I would go wrong He gives me everything that I need My every hunger feeds He gave me peace, He made me whole And when in sin, He saved my soul And what I give could never be compared With the blessings that I share You can only pass along the love of God to someone else. Brother you have shared the gift of kindness, thoughtfulness and to those of you who have so generously blessed me over the years, months and throughout my life, I say a very heartfelt “Thank you” and I want to let you know I will do my best to be a blessing to someone else.
