WILL MUMBAI EVER BECOME A CITY LIKE SHANGHAI? Many Politicians and even citizen of Mumbai wants Mumbai to become a city like Shanghai? Who is responsible for the transformation of Mumbai to Shanghai? Is it only the authorities or even we the public of Mumbai. I am giving below certain photographs clicked by me at SV Road, Near Surya Child Care Hospital, Santacruz West. Yesterday was Ganesh Visarjan and these photographs have been clicked today morning at 8 AM (September 9, 2014). During Ganesh Visarjan many people do the noble work of supplying drinking water to the passerby. Ofcourse this is a good gesture, but the people who does the noble work of supplying water should also ensure that they make arrangement to collect the used plastic cups in a dustbin or garbage bag and dispose it in a right way. Today morning it was very sad to see that those noble people who did the good job of supplying water did not bother about the city or its environment. These are the same people who never fail to keep their houses neat and clean but when it comes to the city their attitude is just WHO CARES. They should atleast understand the these plastic cups will take atleast a decade to get decomposed. With such people around I think transformation of Mumbai to Shanghai is a mere dream.
