Warning: This post has medical stuff AND religious stuff, - TopicsExpress

Warning: This post has medical stuff AND religious stuff, sometimes in the same sentences. When I was operated on Dec 19th, I ended up with an incision approximately 10 in length. It was left to heal by secondary intention, which for those of you not in the know, means the incision remained open to heal from the inside out. The reason was b/c they could neither suture nor stitch me without the fluids from my ascites leaking out. Well as of today, approximately 7.5 of that incision is now healed!!!!! I have not interjected much of my religious beliefs into my posts, though I would prefer to refer to it as my personal relationship with Christ. While it may seem that I have had my share of setbacks, I assure you I have been fortunate, compared to most folks. Other than once when they injected some meds too fast into me, I have had NO vomiting. Any problems with my bowels (sorry) have been short-lived and easily fixed. The nausea has been almost non existant for me. What little I had was relieved with Compazine. I KNOW that the reason is b/c of the number of people praying for me. Not once in this journey have I had anything but peace.......that kind that comes from outside myself. There have been times when I felt the Holy Spirit calming and reassuring me in scary times. I have thanked you more than once for your prayers, and I sincerely mean it. You people have encouraged me in such huge numbers and in ways you and I never knew you would. Dan Gage has put it in more eloquent words than I, but I understand and agree more strongly with him with every breathe. What I have taken from several of your posts Dan Gage, is that as we age we realize what is most important, and care less what others think of how we prioritize those things. If anyone out there has questions about a relationship with Christ, I am open to talking with you. For those of you who know what that relationship means b/c you also have one, keep on being the person God intended you to be. Our witness means more than we know at times when we are NOT thinking about it. Let your light so shine before men!
