We at the Nonhuman Rights Project are rapidly moving towards filing our first path-breaking lawsuit in which we demand that a court recognize that our nonhuman animal plaintiff (this first time a chimpanzee) is a "legal person" capable of possessing fundamental legal rights. We intend this suit - which we will file in 2013 - to be the first in a long litigation campaign. Please keep informed about what we are doing at nonhumanrights.org.
