We caught the new John Turturro film, Fading Gigolo, today. It is a small film, but one with a grand heart. Its preposterous plot only adds to its charm. And we get to see what a whale of a talent Mr. Turturro really is. Woody Allen, as expected, plays himself. Liev Schreiber and Sharon Stone turn in typically excellent performances. But the stars of the show for me are Turturros sterling script and a luminous turn from French pop singer Vanessa Paradis. I have been a fan of her music since the 90s . . . I will now seek to acquaaint myself with the reaminder of filmography and plan to not miss her future movie roles. Have you seen Ms. Paradis act before?
