JOB DESCRIPTION: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT Position Executive Assistant Job Summary Serves as the executive assistant for the provincial office, assisting in the day-to-day administration of the organization in carrying out its mission. Organization’s Mission The mission of New Brunswick Right to Life is to promote the sanctity of all human life from fertilization to natural death by means of public education. Organization’s Structure Besides its provincial office, NB Right to Life operates local chapters of volunteers throughout the province. The provincial office also operates a pregnancy resource center serving mothers in need. Location, Hours Provincial office in Fredericton. Travel not ordinarily required. 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week. Starting Date Nov. 17, 2014 with provision for at least 3-5 days of on-site training prior to the start date. Major Functions Include administration, financial management, public relations, collaboration with the pregnancy resource center, and assistance with special projects. Qualifications 1. Strong belief in the values and mission of the NB Right to Life Association. 2. Basic understanding of life issues and readiness to expand one’s knowledge. 3. Excellence in communication, organization and problem solving. 4. Effectiveness in serving and collaborating with people of varying backgrounds, yet capable of creative and critical thinking. 5. High degree of computer literacy including facility with word processing, spreadsheets, data base programs, website posting and social media. 6. Bilingualism preferred.
