We have some exciting news to share: Gail Ruddy has been nominated for the YWCA Metro Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards in the Education category, for her tremendous leadership at York House. The Awards began in 1984 to honour, encourage and recognize women whose outstanding contributions make a difference to the community. Gail will also have an opportunity to allocate $10,000 to early learning and child care – all you need to do is vote online for her! You can vote once every 24 hours from each computer until Friday, May 23rd at noon. The nominee with the most votes will receive the Connecting the Community Award and Scotiabank will donate $10,000 to the program area of her choice.
