We made a brief visit into Washington Square Park, where the setting sun highlighted the trees and made for a peaceful setting, but then a dog with eerie eyes was on the scene, giving us a look over. Maybe he was just thirsty but we decided to mosey on out and proceed west on Royal Street back to the French Quarter. I indulged in artsy-fartsy picture making with the wrought iron fence and the fallen oak leaves gleaming gold in the sun.
