We recently started a brand new volunteer program with our adoption partner Synergy; a rescue, rehab & sanctuary for special needs animals . This new program has a more pointed focas on kennel enrichment and making good things happen inside the kennel by using puzzles, and aromatherapy to stimulate their minds. They also focas on teaching the dogs some skills that will make them better companions after adoption, such as sit and touch. We received this email and this video, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did: We wanted to take a moment to share some volunteer photos and observations with you. Both the volunteers and the animals are having wonderful experiences at the shelter! The animals are incredibly receptive and the volunteers are enthusiastic. We are so happy about how this is working out. The volunteers also say the animals love the calm balm – so great! We have a video that Steve (volunteer) made & it is pretty fantastic.
