We will be offering summer camps right here in Hampton Park for chidren 3-12 years old. Our 3-6 year old camp themes will include Dr. Suess Camp (July 1-5), Disney Camp (July 8-12), and Animal Kingdom Camp (Aug. 19-23). These camps will be from 9:00-12:00 daily. Our 6-12 year old camp themes will include American Girl Camp (July 1-5), Books to Movies Camp (July 8-12), and Animal Kingdom Camp (Aug. 19-23). These camps will be from 1:00-4:00 daily. Each camp will be $135 ($35 of which will be used for supplies). Each camp day will include a themed snack, craft, game, and other fun activities. They will be at 15918 Hampton Glen Court. Feel free to call me or email me with any questions or to sign up. Space is limited to 12 children per camp and will need a minimum of five students to make. Our Dr. Suess camp themes will be The Lorax, Horton Hears a Who, Yertle the Turtle, The Butter Battle Book, and If I Ran the Circus. We will learn about taking care of our world with The Lorax. Horton Hears a Who day we will learn about treating others with respect. Yertle the Turtle will teach us about treating others fairly. The Butter Battle Book will teach us how to compromise and get along with others. If I Ran the Circus teaches us that with hard work, dreams can come true. The Disney camp themes will include Peter Pan, Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, Monsters Inc., and Cars. We will have fun pretending to be pirates while never having to grow up with Peter Pan. Toy Story will allow many opportunities for playing and adventure. Who let the dogs out, who, who, who? We will have so much fun making puppy chow and having fun while beating the dog days of summer. Monsters Inc. will be filled with many monster activities. Vroom, vroom we are off to the races with our cars theme. We will be racing to the finish of a fun week at camp. Animal Kingdom camps will allow us to explore mammals, birds, reptiles/amphibians, spiders/insects, and fish/crustaceans. Each day we will learn what makes animals a part of their kingdom including their habitat and what they do to survive. This week of camp will include many fun science experiments. Each camp will be adapted to meet the age of the campers. American girl camp will have the girls stepping back in time and making crafts, cooking, and playing games from different eras in history. During this week of camp, we will be studying the historical periods of the American girls Kaya, Felicity, Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly. Your child does not have to have an American girl doll or even have read any of the books to enjoy this fun filled camp. Books to Movie Camp will be all about classic novels that have been turned into movies. Our themes will include Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Harry Potter, The Wizard of Oz, and Charlotte’s Web. We will have a pirate adventure with Pirate’s of the Caribbean. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory day will be a magical day filled with candy and imagination. Harry Potter will take us into the world of wizards with magic tricks and experiments. The Wizard of Oz day will be filled with a whirlwind of activities like creating tornados and scarecrows. The fair is a veritable smorgasbord, on Charlotte’s Web day we will have our own county fair.
