Weird day. Very excited because for a good chunk of my 50s I felt that whatever I did financially someone else was pulling my strings and I was moving one step forward and two back. Life was really tough at times but I just kept slogging away believing that I was doing the right thing but it just didnt really seem to be happening. In the last couple of weeks a huge number of threads have just totally come together, not least that this morning I discovered I can take a tiny pension I put into place 26 years ago in a lump sum instead of a pathetic amount a year. And then I heard that someone dear to me, 25 years younger than me, was very Ill in hospital. And I have to think, its only money. Health and family are totally what its all about. And my gratitude is immense for mine, on both counts. Sadhu,sadhu, sadhu.
