Well..I did my good deed for the day... I had to take Cody to the Dr. today for his lung X-Rays and while we were waiting, an elderly black gentleman came out of the drs back room in a wheel chair with a walker in his lap. I held the door for him and offered to carry the walker for him. I then opened the second door for him leaving the doctors office. He told me that he had two recent neck surgeries, plus a stroke that affected his right arm n hand, and it was hard for him to wheel that chair around at the hospital cuz at home he had an electric one. So I offered to take him where he needed to go to the parking lot. He accepted and when he got to his destination outside the hospital I helped him up out of the wheel chair and to his walker. He pretty much handled the rest on his own. No biggie. Right? Im sure anyone wouldve done the same thing. But it was what he said as I turned to walk away that got me. He said..pardon me mam what is your name if I may ask. I told him it was Shari.. he introduced himself.. shook my hand and said.. You are an Angel of Mercy and I thank you for all your help when everyone else just stood by and watched me struggle today. God Bless you mam. You have a wonderful day. It has been my pleasure to meet such a beautiful Angel today. Now THAT made me feel like you would not believe!!!! And I did nothing special.. I was raised if you see someone or something struggling to get along...you help if you can. Right? Thats just the way they did things back in the day when we were growing up in my generation. Very sweet elderly man who is very sick. So tonite..I say a prayer for not only that gentleman today at the Bellville Hospital/Clinic..but for all the others like him who struggle to get through life each and every day..but never give up trying to do so by themselves as tough as that may be for them to do. Thank you God for giving the weak the power to Remain So Strong on a daily basis♥ AMEN♥
