Well I just got home from work, entirely dead so I got sent home. - TopicsExpress

Well I just got home from work, entirely dead so I got sent home. Was interesting to say the least. Not sure how I did, the chef did not offer any information just said that he would have the owner give me a call in the next day or two. I felt like I was too slow for such a small busy kitchen. I know some of it is learning the job, but it is also in this case learning the language. Much of the food they use, I have never heard of before, cant pronounce it, which means I dont even know what it is. It could be meat, could be cheese, could be a vegetable, I was surprised all night?? LOL. However I will be interested to see what my phone call brings. Gives me time to think about is it what I want as well if they do want me. The big positive I got was if I believe in myself, that will come across, as it was my cover letter that got me the opportunity I believe. And regardless of what happens I can go to bed tonight knowing I got to do what I wanted to do and see it first hand and now I have something to base my decision on is this what I want to do? So I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me by 40 Paper in Camden, and to Chef Patrick and cook Tony, who were both very easy and enjoyable to work with. So great experience and once I know more I will let you all know. Maybe I can stop shaking from the case of the jitters now!! :)
