Well, I wound up back in the hospital today after the pain in my side got so bad I could barely take a breath. It was way more than could be explained by a simple pulled muscle. Frankly, I was worried about a blood clot and so were my docs. 6 hours later and a CT scan reveals no blood clot, but I do have pleurisy. Oh, joy. They gave me a shot of dilaudid that hit me like a ton of bricks and dialed down my pain levels about halfway making it much easier to breathe. So, despite my happiness at being able to skip chemo this week it seems that, for me at least, all roads lead to the hospital and IVs. The irony, it burns!
