Well, every now and then I find a song that I just cannot live without. It is exciting when it is an old one that is new to me. I have to apologize to friends of mine who only like Jazz or friends of mine who only like pop or who only like musical theater or who only like R&B or only country or only bluegrass or only Gospel BECAUSE I LIKE IT ALL! My latest musical tangent is some killer country/bluegrass soul I just cannot get off my mind. I just found this song last night, and, oh, how I want to do it with the smokin killer musicians I know who can give it a new groove with SOUL for a current remake, along with a whole list of other songs I want to redo that are SO cool and so country :-). I want to change the lyrics here and there to Who says God is dead/ Who says that out loud/ Who says God is dead/Hes with us all right now... and then in the chorus I want to change it to Id like to tell em face to face why I know its not so with background vocals and the whole thing. It would be so fun...(I felt this way about This Train is Bound for Glory when I first heard it last year, and I finally got to record it this year).
