Well the therapists were just blown away at doodlebugs progress! They have not seen her for a month because of her last hospitalization and surgeries. i told the speech therapist watch this and i placed a piece of pb toast in her hand and she brought it to her mouth. I thought the speech therapist was going to pass out!! they cannot believe it! she was for sure tired at the end of her therapy day but did well! She was more tolerable and did not show any signs of brain irritability (she is off her medication now for that). The therapists could not believe how much more alert and engaged she is! she actually played with toys for quite a while reaching n grabbing them!! they also worked with her on standing and picking up things like cheerios. she doesnt have the organization down yet to pinch grab things. in one pictureu can see she is sitting up by herself!!!! gunner is having a sleepover at his daycare family because we have to be at the hospital at 7am for mri, neurosurgery app, and blood work! last night was a pretty bad night for gunner. it was the worst nightmare i have seen him have. he was thrashing crying screaming. it breaks my heart that he has to go thru that!!im even more disappointed that i got acall from the counselor who sd they wont take his insursnce so now im back at square one trying to get him the help he needs! it is VERY difficult to find a play sand therapist who will see kids under 3. this is also a unique form of therapy that he needs because he is mostly nonverbal and they are not easy to find. this morning despite his rough night he laid down next to his sissy :)) he loves her so much!! ty soo much for the gifts i received today oh my goodness i cannot wait to put that skirt on her! its adorable ty ty ty!!!!
