Well, things have progressed much quicker than wed anticipated. We put our house on the market a month ago, thinking that we would hopefully be able to sell it before late February and then move back to Australia in early March or so. So much for that plan! The house sold within 3 weeks and now we have basically two months to vacate. The plan now is to depart Taiwan on December 10 and try to establish ourselves in Brisbane as quickly as possible before Christmas and get my daughter used to the environment before she has to start school in what will essentially be her second language. So, all you Queensland-based folks, I need some input on things like: - Suitable living locations (Im currently looking at renting a 3-bedroom place somewhere like Forest Lakes or North Lake) - Primary schools and after-school care. Plus a lot of suggestions/recommendations about mundane items such as: - private health insurance - cellphone providers - internet/broadband/cable TV providers, etc. And I guess Id better find a job quick smart, so if anyone has any contacts that would be helpful, direct them this way... Thanks in advance for any input.
