Went outside this morning before work to let Whiskey do his morning thang and noticed my next door neighbor was standing outside, when normally shes already left for work. She told me that a pipe coming in to her trailer had busted last night. She wasnt lying. It sounded like a fountain was running in her back yard. She said that she had been waiting on someone from the front office to get there so she could get a maintenance person to fix said leak. I gave her the number to my plumber friend, P-nut Waters, just in case they gave her grief about whose responsibility it was, whistled for Whiskey to finish up, and went back inside to get ready for work. NOW... Its about 10 minutes later. Im in mid-shower (meaning all soapy and shit) when suddenly the water pressure in my shower quickly diminishes. No no no no no NO NO NO... MOTHER F@CKER!!, I replied, cupping the shower head like a wall teet in a futile attempt to guide the last sprinkle of clean water to my face, as if it were enough to wash away all the frothy buildup in one magical drop. I stood there, grumbling, covered in lather and defeat, contemplating whether rinsing off with 2% milk would be better, or worse, than going through the day covered in sticky soap scum, when I realized that I had recently filled up a gallon jug with drinking water and it was.... in the refrigerator. The only pot I had big enough to heat up the water was already in the fridge holding roughly 3 more servings of homemade chili. I thought about popping the jug in the microwave, but my luck, that bad boy would melt and not only would I have a major mess in the kitchen, I wouldnt have any water AT ALL to rinse off with. So... one more unpublished ice bucket challenge later, I was rinsed off and ready to start my day!! Well, after I caught my breath and convinced Whiskey I wasnt having some sort of stroke. At least tomorrows humpday! Amiright!?!
