Went to the library tonight with my kids. Gigi saw the giant chess set, and told me she wanted to learn a little bit about how to play, and Graham was game for it, too. So, I started teaching them about how to set up the board, what the pieces are called, how the pieces move, and how the game play progresses. They really seemed to enjoy it, although they became slightly distracted from time to time. I didnt push them, just about 15 minutes of playing, then we moved on to other things. But it was very cool.
