Were you on Hurst Street, Bridgewater just before 8pm last night? Did you see anything of interest? At 1955hrs on Wednesday 10 July 2013, a male offender entered the Big Bargain Bottle Shop, Bridgewater as the attendant was closing for the evening. The offender entered the store, using his body weight to force the automatic doors open. Once inside he removed a till containing a quantity of cash, before exiting through the same point and returning to a waiting vehicle. At no time throughout this incident was the attendant threatened, or was violence offered. The offender is described as between 175 - 176 cm tall, of slim build, wearing what is believed to be a stocking over his face with eye holes cut into it, he was dressed in a khaki coloured check jacket, possibly with a dark coloured hooded jumper underneath, dark trousers and white runners, wearing bright red or orange gloves. Police are asking for anyone who may have knowledge of those involved in the crime to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or directly to Glenorchy CIB on 62684100.
