What a great trip we all had to China. Its always a great thing to fish a new waterway, but to fish a new water in a foreign country well thats just mind blowing. Sharing the trip with such a great bunch (TEAM) of guys was a fantastic thing to be a part of. The fact we did so well as a Team just adds to it all. We had de-briefs after each practice to share info on tactics, retrieve styles, speeds etc & of course what lures work best for each of us. Ive been a part of teams fishing before but only up to four members, with eleven of us sharing info was terrific. I had good first day pre fish & not so good on 2nd day. Hooking plenty but not staying connected proved frustrating. Day one I found fish but could only find smaller models so was only able to present 3 to the weigh master. Day two was a better day, although I was getting a bit worried after a couple of hours with only undersized fish to my name. Then a perch came then a nice Coulter & then a couple more & I had my bag, what a relief. Id like to thank Hobie Australia, Steve Fields & all the other sponsors involved in getting us there. Also thank you to Adam Costa of fishin.au for his support, Steve Duff of Duff rods for the speedy build of my new two piece rods, Tonic eyewear & Cranka lures for the lures they supplied us also.
