What a long week this has been! Ready to get home to my bed and kuri. Reflectionʻs always a good thing. It puts things into perspective. Itʻs funny how a couple of haka nobodyʻs can have such a huge influence over perceptions of a group! I just about let a few assholes who think they know plenty about us dictate how i was feeling. We had a hard week this week, it was long, pouri, mamae and tiring. Iʻm not making excuses, it is what it is! Awesome for those roopu who take the stage again today - haka hard! We are just as humble in defeat as we are in victory! Our kids are there today, heads held high to support all top 9 roopu. To these people who think they have some sort of entitlement when it comes to other roopuʻs hard work and the viewing of live streaming, you donʻt! Its a tutors perogative to make the decisions they make in the best interest of the roopu NOT the arm chair critics who think they have all the answers and unknowingly (due to ignorance and arrogance) make off the cuff comments about things they know nothing about! To our kids, all of them - i wouldnt have changed a sinlgle thing this week! Ngā Taiātea is more than what happens on stage and you made us proud every single day we were here! To my boys, we love you! 😘 Off to Opotiki very shortly to see our Koro and Matariki and prepare kai fit for orange kids.
