What a night! Cant sleep and am on the computer in the basement, when I here noise like someone coming in the house. Kind like a thud of a door closing and a screen door. Go to investigate and door to basement is open about half way and luckily wont move when I push on it. I squeeze thru the opening and as I do, look up. My wifes 1 ft wide by 10 foot long shelf is detached from the wall and sitting atop the door and one nail out of 7 is holding up the other end. All her knickknacks, and lots of glass was up there. I took it all down and removed the shelf until I can repair it. I think it took 15 years to fall off the wall. I did good for no clue what to do when I mounted it. Sure am glad I didnt have to clean up glass also. Looks like its time to paint the kitchen being the shelf is down. lol What a night!
