When its the summer its nice to make dips to go with some carrot/cucumber sticks, here is a hoummous recipe, completely healthy for you Hummus Serves 4 400g tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 tbsp tahini paste 4 tbsp olive oil Juice of 1 lemon ½ tsp cayenne pepper 1 tbsp sesame seeds Pinch of sea salt 1. Place the chickpeas in a blender or food processor with the garlic and the sea salt. 2. Add the tahini and process until fairly smooth, then slowly pour in the oil and lemon juice. 3. Stir in the cayenne pepper and add more salt to taste, if needed. Stir in a little cold water if the mixture needs thinning. Transfer the purée to a serving bowl. 4. Heat a small, non-stick pan, add the sesame seeds and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring, until the seeds are golden. When cool, sprinkle over the purée. Serve with vegetable crudités for a satisfying snack or starter.
