When people (read as Saratchandra Kasivajjala and Archana - TopicsExpress

When people (read as Saratchandra Kasivajjala and Archana Jayaraman) tag you to list 10 books that you have read and keep with you, you know you are in trouble. Listing just 10 seems difficult. But not impossible. So, here goes: 1. Sandman (the graphic novel series) by Neil Gaiman (at the top of any list as far as I am concerned) 2. Poetry - Percy Bryce Shelley, Emily Dickinson, Keats, Khalil Gibran 3. Works of Shakespeare (sigh! Remembering those days when I declared I would only love a man who got Shakespeare, naïveté - thy name is youth) 4. Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (the required fantasy series for every fantasy addict) 5. Books by Georgette Heyer (the required regency romance and humour series for any woman) 6. The Collected Short Stories of Roald Dahl 7. Erle Stanley Gardner - Perry Mason rocks!(even when the reader is in her thirties) 8. Books by P.G. Wodehouse - Who can leave Jeeves behind? 9. Classics - Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, Somerset Maugham, Alexandre Dumas. 10. The last and definitely not the least - books by Matthew Reilly (the Contest and the Temple still remain big favourites of mine), Tolkein (that required LOTR stuff), Tolstoy (people, read Anna Karenina!), authors like Daniel Silva, Colin Forbes etc. So, I cheated a little and listed authors instead of books, but that is the best pruning I could do. And yes, I read romance, fantasy, crime, action and poetry, so a little difficult to stick to one range. :) I tag Harish Chaluvadhi, Sai Narayan, Vivek Thoopal and anyone else who wants to take this up.
