When we watch Ombak Rindu, KL Menjerit, Lagenda Budak Setan etc, sometimes we discussed among us If they can make so many Malay movies, why cant we? Oh.. ya.. cos we dont have funds. Cos we cant produce such good films like them.. plus we are the minority here, the market is small bla bla bla. But we still somehow hope and ask and wait for our own Malay film in Sg. BUT the irony is when we dont mind watching what we ourselves called cerita Lawak Bodoh or some even call them cerita kelakar merepek from the beloved brothers land.. Movies like Adnan Sempit, Wawa Semput, Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak, Bro, Nampak Motor Gua? Bujang Terlajak, etc..and we have so much to say about our own Banting. What kind of movie are they making? Comedy? With what message? Its not a film worthy. Its more of a telemovie kind bla bla bla blacksheep. Cmon people. Maybe this is a start. Support our local film.
