While I’m at the verge of hitting 40 in a couple of months, I really appreciate people’s concern regarding my relationship, dating, or marital status. No offense, but it gets quite tiring to hear “You’re such a great guy! I can’t believe you’re still single.” To be honest, it’s really not all that important to me. Granted, it’s nice to have that special person who I can fall back on emotionally, do things with, grow together, etc.; however, I do not need another person to make me “happy. “ I’m confident and comfortable in my own skin. I’ve got amazing support from family and close friends. Also, I stay occupied with the things that are most important in my life. This is what keeps me going. I look at it this way, if can’t be happy with myself, I sure can’t depend on anyone else to make me happy. Yes, I’m sure “Miss Right” is out there for me. It’s just that we haven’t crossed paths, yet. Until then, I still love my life.
