While all my vintage motorcycle friends from all over the world are all arriving in Vegas for the auctions... I get to spend 2.5 hours under a heavy equipment trailer on a cold narrow highway shoulder tonight. Joan and I were on my way back from our place in South Texas hauling our brush chopper to some new land in Georgetown. Brake failure of some kind in the right rear set of duals. Had to pull it 1/4 mile dragging two tires to get to a spot wide enough to jack it all up. Blew two new tires. So I cut the brake line, put on 1 spare and made it 1 mile before blowing the brand new spare. Screw it... Used a log chain and boomer and kept the rear axle off of TX130 for the last 60 miles home! Some days just challenge us more. Wish I was in Vegas! Three new tires and fixing brakes will be a lot cheaper though! 😃
