Who knows about using sulphur for pH adjustment? Were going to try and grow a kiwi berry in our alkaline sand. To give it a chance, weve submerged a 50cm pot and filled it with a mixture of chook run soil, composted cow and GLS veggie concentrate. Let it settle for a couple of weeks and its come up about pH 9. Ive mixed in 6g of sulphur powder (50g per m2 equivalent). How long should I wait before I can get a good measurement of how far its moved? What pH should I aim for? The native sand is about 9.5. Thanks in advance.
