Who the Hell is Grand Dieng?? gambiaradio November 16, 2014 The lowlife Senegalese National who is constantly insulting Gambian Citizens and their parents on Freedon Radio,has once again demonstrated his lack of proper home-training,religious back ground or proper Education. On his live show program on Freedom Radio on Saturday,Grand Dieng said that ” Gambien Sel Xel Daffa Gattah”, meaning that,Gambians are narrow minded or in other words,stupid! The Host of the show,Pa Nderry Mbai who spotted Dieng’s abusive words within few seconds,swiftly came to his rescue by saying that “it was a slip of the tongue”. Dieng who made several attempts to correct the situation, was caught with his pants down when he was attacked by an anonymous Gambian woman. At first,he denied saying anything like that, but when confronted by more people who were running out of patience,he surrendered. He was then asked to take a short break and have some cold water after several attempts to apologize to his Audience failed.The Talk show Host did everything he could to back this confused-looking man but was not successful. According to Pa Nderry,”That was a slip of the Tongue” and people should have not taken it too personal.Many angry callers tried to reach Dieng while he was still on the air but were denied access. The topic was soon shifted to the transgambia bridge project which is schedule to commence soon. Grand Dieng,who always spends his valuable time (if he has any) on Freedon, ranting about the situation in the Gambia, had nothing to say after that but to keep his mouth shot. The Gambia and Senegal have a long lasting relationship which is dated back some hundred years ago. Our relationship with the sister Republic of Senegal is far beyond religious and Cultural beliefs. These two Countries, enjoy a strong bond that enables them to inter-marry each other. Senegal, whose culture is mainly dominated by Music and Wrestling,benefits greatly from the Gambian public whose demand for such activities is very high. This is a mutual relationship which the two countries continue to enjoy.Gambians are proud to have written in their history books that,the Gambia was the first country visited by the Senegalese President,Macky Sall. He was also present at the recently concluded 22nd revolution celebration and as we write this piece,the Gambian president,Dr. Alh. Yahya AJJ Jammeh Baiimansa,is heading to Dakar for a state visit on Sunday 16th November,2014.Can we have a relationship which is stronger than this? Absolutely not!! Grand Dieng,who often brags about his expertise,should know that he was born and raised while this relationship was existing and will die and leave it unchanged. Gambiaoneradio took sometime to talk to some Senegalese living in the United States about Grand Dieng but to our surprise,none of them could identify him as a Senegalese born citizen.A Senegalese national who runs several Senegalese organizations,said that ” we would have definitely known him if he was a good and productive Senegalese”. He is probably one of those LOUD MOUTHS who is just looking for recognition,he added. No Senegalese Radio will entertain a rude person like that because we all came from discent families,he affirmed. The most important characters of Senegambians that distinguish them from all other nationals espeacially those in the West,is our religious and cultural back ground. There is always a BIG question mark in front of a person when behaviors are contrary to these norms and values of our fore fathers. Next time,we will go deep into the affairs of “Ya Na Mare” ( A socalled Activist group in Senegal).
