With Christmas upon us I would like to remind everyone that Jesus is the reason for the season. With that being said, remember to give thanks for him first and foremost. It is not about getting everything you want material wise. Be a gracious giver as well as receiver. Remember those who are less fortunate. A blanket to a homeless, a meal, a kind word, a thank you, a kind smile, understanding, sympathy, empathy, love, compassion,all make things better for someone whether you notice the impact or not. If you are having trouble finding your Christmas spirit, remember it is not in the gifts under the tree. It can be found in the feeling of being loved. Tell your friends and family the impact they have made upon your life. Be the ear and shoulder that you cannot wrap in shiny paper and bows. The holidays leave many depressed and lonely. If kind words are given or just being there for are shown, it could save a life. You may not see the impact but if you are lucky that person will share the impact with you. I am lucky myself to have such people in my life and my wish for all of you is to have them as well.
