With Suppliers to the Confederacy: British Imported Arms and Accoutrements, VOLUME II now safely with the publisher, myself and Craig now want to turn our attention to the Ordnance and Quartermaster goods imported. Craig will concentrate on the ordnance, (Blakely and Whitworth) and I will concentrate on the QM side. THIS IS WHERE YOU GOOD PEOPLE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP? Im looking for any invoices or documents relating to imported blankets. I know over 300,000 were imported through Wilmington alone in the last year of the war, but I am primarily interested in the Trans-Mississippi Dept. E.C. Wharton from that department apparently imported 100,000 white blankets from late 1862 onwards. Does anyone have documentation on this? Im looking for dates, numbers and colours if possible. Over to you...
