Women and women-presenting people, if you personally dont mind cat-calling or street harassment, thats fine. There was a time in my life when I didnt. But you do not get to tell others how they should feel about it, that they should be flattered or that its a compliment. Many of us consider it to be a threat. We arent pleased by. We dont want it. We dont exist for the male gaze. So STOP saying to get over it or ignore it (because even that can get you killed, happened in NY a couple of weeks ago). Its not about our sense of humor, its about the male sense of entitlement to our bodies and spaces.
