Wow. My current client was only given a month to live. When I got involved in her care, found her in bed, in a night dress, looking frail and with no hope. My plan was to work on her low spirit. Got her out of nighties into everyday clothes, then getting her out of bed into the recliner after a daily shower and making sure her favourites meals are served. Next was helping her to stand which we managed for mths and today she managed to walk again with the Zimmerman frame. Informed her GP, Community Matron who are bringing back the physiotherapist team for support. This is the part of my job that I love helping to rehabilitate and give vulnerable people in society their independence back. Everyone including her lawyer, the family cannot thank me enough and all over showering praises. Wish we could have this kind of system in mother land.
