Yesterday I posted about the Dutch movie about Henry VIIIs last days. Dirk Gunther Mohr, who plays Henry VIII, has a message for you guys: As an ambitious and professional group of filmmakers from The Netherlands we ask for your attention because we’re making a film by which we are diving back into the royal history of England. We want to take you back into the 16th century by focusing on one great historical figure: The great Henry VIII, King of England. Even though a lot has been said and films and series have been made about this impressive man (the biggest example will be the The Tudors*), we feel that there is still a big and interesting part about the character of Henry VIII that needs to be shown off to the world. In our film production the focus will be on the last day of Henry VIII. We will dive into his emotions and want to take you, as viewers, on a journey about his feelings towards his children, his wives and his country. In doing so we will portrait his extraordinary lifestyle. It will be a unique film production involving beautiful locations and impressive costumes. To give you an impression of the images we have in mind for this film we already posted a video, a ‘sneak preview’, on our website (see the link below). Now this is where WE NEED YOUR HELP.. In order to go beyond a few images and to really produce our film we will need to increase our budget.
