Yesterday we said goodbye to our dear friend Brian Griffith. In true Hamilton fashion, the gathering afterwords at The Bay City Music Hall proved to be truly heartwarming. Somehow, I was given the honour of closing the night and I was honestly terrified. Over 60 of Hamiltons best musicians participated and I was afraid I wouldnt be up to the task. Special thanks to Sue Sweetman, Joe Clark, Eric Boucher, Danny Lockwood and a Carrie Ashworth for giving me the strength. I almost lost it on the last song, Marionette, when I looked out into the crowd and realized I knew almost every face in the the room from playing with Brian over the years. It was truly spiritually uplifting. Thank you JP Gautier and Joel Gunther for putting this together and giving us the opportunity to comfort each other. Thank you Eudene and Daemon and the whole clan for sharing with us. Peace.
