#consider The government has instructed relevant authorities to begin investigations with a view of bringing charges to those involved in a documentary by Al Jazeera which alleges that the state is involved in at least 500 extrajudicial killings each year. A statement from the Ministry of Interior said that the “tone and subjective nature” of the documentary was deliberately skewed to support and empathise with terrorists and their sympathisers without taking into consideration the hundreds of Kenyans who have died in terror attacks. “The timing of the documentary is also suspicious and appears meant to derail KEs efforts to fight terrorism. The documentary was deliberately planned and aired at a time when Kenya is seeking support to strengthen its war against terror through legislative reforms.” the Ministry said. The Interior Ministry further said that none of the interviewees could be authenticated as bona fide security agents of this country. “The purported secret GOK documents were clearly fake” the Ministry added.
