its 9pm, kinda late in the assisted living community, but I drove down to check on my 2 sickest clients and make sure they were all tucked in and the care givers didnt have anything they needed to discuss. I walked into one of the facilities and the care giver was walking with a sweet elderly lady who was looking for her dogs. She would stop by each door, look outside, and say, no theyre not out here. I said to her, would you like to meet my dog? He is in he car and would be happy to visit with you. Her face lit up and she went over to the couch and sat down. I went and got Brogan and brought him in. She was so excited to see him! We sat on the couch and she petted him, talked to him and told me about her dogs. Brogan is so kind, he sat there and enjoyed the attention. She noticed his eye was red, and I told her he is blind. She said she was deaf so they made a good pair. She sat there for awhile with Brogan, and I said we were going home. She said thank you so much, and she was going to bed now. She then said, what about your lady you were going to visit? I said, shes fine, it seems we came to visit you. She smiled and said she hoped to see us again. I am so grateful for the sweet things that happen when I least expect them. Good night everyone. :)
