mobile.reuters/article/idUSKBN0FR0KP20140722?irpc=932 This sting operation was conducted on medical business... why dont they dare to make a documentary on how a doctor is made... from the day they pass class 10th and in case if they opt for biology they are restricted to very few option ie medicine paramedics or agricultural branches... somehow after slogging late night and early morning and wasting their energy, money and substantial part of their life to coaching centres they get into a government medical college...few unlucky or due to the corruption in examination system( question paper leak which is not very uncommon and reservation system) or not so competent are left with no option other than either change stream or opt for pvt medical colleges... where due to the same corrupt laws fees are exorbitant ie currently on an average it costs around 50 lakhs to become an MBBS... The interest amount of which even if kept in bank will be around 30 thousand per month and what is the salary that the state government provides is nothing but a joke compared to the amount spent... but today city dwellers are more sophisticated they go to specialist and super specialists who spend around 15 years of their life with competency more than even the IAS. .and some crores of rupees in pvt education. .. What do we expect from them... to do charity work... ur expectation may be justified if we see people around us are saints and only the doctors are money minded... When u see ur batch mate who failed to compete with u after class 12th and started some other work or business or whatever and is earning substantial amount since then and those who succeeded end up investing huge sum and on an average 12 to 15 years to be an MD... worst is, even after facing and successfully passing all these hurdles we face competition from quacks, non MBBS who are freely prescribing steroids and other medications unethically(patients generally are left empty pocket and ultimately land up to us when even 100 rs appear 1000 to them as they are already extorted by the so called quacks) Why dont they make documentary on making of a doctor... A real serious issue rather than indulging in these shallow issues...
