okay.... so last night i found out results from my gastric emptying study! my dietician called my mum, and told her my gastro doctor has looked at my scan results, and told her what he found. SO, basically, my stomach is a lot worse than we realised! my gastric emptying is extremely delayed. this explains the chronic nausea and issues ive been having! BUT, the bummer is that the treatment used to treat it a drug i have been on for almost my entire life, a drug that pretty much all CFs are on (im on it for my CF lung disease not the stomach issues- which btw arent CF related but it shouldve worked on my stomach too if it was going to work at all for that as its a multi-purpose drug), which doesnt help lol. but i have all these burning questions to ask, like whether this issue/condition/whatever you wanna call it has an actual name to it, etc. so, i have cf clinic in a couple weeks and my gastro doctor is going to cf clinic just to see me! so he will hopefully answer my burning questions and im hoping well be able to be given alternative choices as for treatments :/ on the plus side, it means i wont need scopes, we at least have a cause for whats going on in my stomach now (just no treatments or treatment plans as yet....) and i will not have to go on the low FODMAP diet as it will be of no benefit to me! i had my chem prac exam today, 3/8 exams done woo! tomorrows english :) ALSO- something super cool! i got to chat to Dr Karl Kruszelnicki tonight thanks to Livewire Australia and it was so amazing!!
