she was having trouble getting him to take the bit. This separation of the tongue is from a wire bit. This is an absolutely unacceptable issue of course. The owner was not aware of this issue and did not do a pre purchase which would have caught this. Not the horses fault but the result of poor riding and worse horse training. Please use reputable trainers and even more important please question your trainer on anything that doesnt pass the common sense test. there is absolutely no reason for a wire bit.
