so i have been looking around for a powerful nms software that was simple to implement in my lab. i did use one (OpenNMS) which was awesome but waaay to involved(at least for me) to get working in an lab environment, well a buddy of mine put me on to one and i bring to you Obesrvium, its a great NMS that supports SNMPv2/3 and is rather simple to set up. the only thing that is required is that you have DNS configured for you devices. being a lab, i had to do some extra work because i typically dont lab out DNS but if you plan on using this in live environment, make sure you do so or just edit your host file on your local machine. you CAN NOT add devices by IP, trust me i learned this the hard way , if youd like to see anything within the software let me know, enjoy networking ninjas youtu.be/v0MbXGGDe14
