youtube/watch?v=mg2QW-knOag This is one of my students at Queen Noor College. His name is Mohsin. In the beginning of this class, there were students who could not spell their name or even form a complete sentence. After one month of teaching them intensively to use and understand the targeted language instead of a useless and counter productive grammar emphasis, they were able to speak about Iraqi civilization, the economy, human history, their country, religion, politics, how they have changed their lives, and more. Amazing when the Communicative Task Approach, Professor Stephen Krashens Theory of Second Language Acquisition, and differentiation is applied to the best of a teachers ability! And it is sad that the Royal Jordanian Academy refuses to implement such positive change. It is a clause in the Declaration of Independence that humans will suffer even tyranny to avoid change to that which they are accustomed to. They were even able to sing Celine Dions My Heart Will Always Go On without reading from a script. The Iraqi class is a glimpse of hope for the Middle East! The class was comprised of Shia/Sunni/Christian Iraqis and Kurdish students who struggled together with perfect harmony to ascertain the goal of a brighter future for themselves and Iraq. vimeo/77842975
