1 Samuel 16:1-4 Get Over It. Get Ready for It. Get On With It. God regretted Saul and Samuel begins to mourn over Saul. It is Samuels destiny to anoint the next king, David, but he (Samuel) must stop mourning and move toward his destiny. Samuel moving forward will not only bless Samuel, but also David, and those who come under the rule of Davids kingdom. Samuels ability to move forward will propel Davids destiny and subsequently, the people . Samuel is mourning because he invested in Saul, so when he learned that Saul would not be blessed, Samuel was disappointed to the point of devastation . The disappointment and devastation of what would not be kept Samuel from moving toward his divine purpose. Fill your horn with oil. Samuels oil was depleted from his horn when he anointed Saul ...
