A few years back, France produced 15 tons of lavender, yet exported 250 tons of lavender essential oil – how, you ask? By adding synthetic chemicals, such as propylene glycol to stretch the oils! But thanks to the FDA, these companies dont have to list these ingredients on the label and are still marketed as 100% pure.
