AAP workers entering into the Ugandan ladies homes and themselves - TopicsExpress

AAP workers entering into the Ugandan ladies homes and themselves doing the strip search with Police just being by-standers with the Minister taking the lead himself, basically usurping the Executives role play. I notice the public approving nay enjoying this sight and act. Failure of the Police, what else can the Government do? Vigilante Government. Need of the hour. Desperate situations need desperate measures. Finally we have a party with a difference doing the right thing. (We all know the Black Africans are drug pedlars, good to catch them and treat them like trash. What the corrupt police have failed to do in the name of process and law but actually turning a blind eye as they are being paid protection money by the drug pedlars. So things have to be handled this way, the masses say and approve). This brings memories back of an incident. Our hospital had a patient who came with heart attack with heart failure. High risk, high mortality case, we offered to do nothing heroic to save the patient as a few lakhs or rupees spent and taking home a dead body is not exactly smart. However we got calls from the ruling government that he is an important party worker and we should do everything to save his life immaterial of money. Hourly updates (recorded on video) were made. Patient died. We had a mob situation where the ruling party workers broke in and ran through the hospital harassing our workers. Taunting them. That they have heard that this hospital does un ethical things immoral things for money. That the patients die and there are lakhs of bills to pay. That exploitation of public is common. We were held ransom, the Cops had to just watch. When they did try to intervene the Party workers said that the corrupt cops were in our mamool, local slang for routine payout of protection money. Moreover the Government themselves being the crusaders they just had to watch. What about the public? When there are 100 party workers blocking the entry of the hospital & being violent you expect anyone to come forward? Moreover in high risk ICUs deaths happen (where else do you expect them to happen if not in Critical Care?). There is a reason there are laws, there is a reason our Constitution brought in the various arms Legislature, Executive Judiciary. Work within the system if you have to improve it. We cannot go down the path of anarchy as espoused by AAP. Be very warned. I am sure there are easy ways to lead a life than run high risk hospitals. Why bother?
