Acts 20:32-35 And now I entrust you to God and to the message of his grace. This message is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. I have desired no one’s silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know that these hands of mine provided for my needs and the needs of those who were with me. By all these things, I have shown you that by working in this way we must help the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Paul is in saying farewell to the Ephesian Elders. It is heartfelt goodbye not only because of the integrity and impact of Paul’s ministry, but also because Paul has told them that they will never see his face again. Paul “entrusts them to God and the message of his grace”. He ministered to these people with great care, providing for himself and those who stayed with him. In his own words, “I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard”. Paul is a testimony of someone who was willing to become an instrument shaped and used by God for His glory. 1 Cor. 9:22-23 says, “To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.” He lived what He taught.
