Although this might sound obvious, the fatigue from resistance training can negatively impact your ability to perform skilled movement with proper biomechanics. If you are an athlete, who trains multiple times per day, prioritize your training so that your sport skills are trained first when possible. This will ensure that your most important skills are trained under optimal conditions and not negatively impacted from your strength training program. When this is not possible due to scheduling, a few hours of rest between session and focusing on skills that are non-biomechanically similar to that days resistance training session, will help optimize training. If you are not training with back to back or multi session per day program, you can still us this principle in your program design by making sure to train the most technically demanding movement first in the program. Keeping this in mind while planning a program will aid you in reaching optimal results as well as reduce injury risk.
