CONCERNING THIS CURRENT BILL COSBY NEWS: You kill a n----- today he lives forever/So I plotted out smarter, Therell be no martyrs Nas from Money Over Bullshit Im not taking any sides in this. I wasnt there so I cant say for sure he did it. If he did, well, he has to own up to it. Rape is in no way cool or condonable. Im just always the type who questions situations. Why Bill Cosby & why now? What I DO know is that hes outspoken when hes bothered. When hes attacked he fights back (like when some people put the kids on the frontline to say he stole their mural for the opening of the Cosby show). I DO know that he tried to buy a channel in the 80s to promote positive shows. I DO know that he tried to purchase some shows (Little Rascals or Amos & Andy) so they wouldnt reach the masses again. I DO know hes spoken directly to Black youth whove accepted the ways of crime in their lives. I DO know he broke out & said we need a balance of images on TV period. I DO know he straight out expressed his angst about the ills of the Black communities. I also know that when his only son was murdered on a highway (drive-by shooting) a young woman came out & said she was his child (from another woman). He said in an interview that the young woman is not his child & that he & his wife discussed it when the child was born. My questions were IF HE & HIS WIFE DISCUSSED THIS BACK THEN WHY DID IT COME OUT OVER 25 YEARS LATER? Same as these rape allegations, which have come up before: WHY NOW? One thing I say in these situations is JUST WATCH. I remember right before Michael Jackson died there were so many negative allegations & so much negative press on him. This was also after he spoke in that Oprah interview & more so when he spoke out against the record industry. Could it be that because Bill Cosby speaks up for himself & his ideals? Could it be his personal/political involvement with Fidel Castro that sparks an attack? Who knows? Some people will say that with all they try to portray theyre dirty in real life; that they deserve it. Some will say they just shouldnt have put themselves in that position; basically they did it to themselves. Im saying Im seeing a pattern. Sometimes theres negative press before an icons death; particularly if they have indomitable images & spirits. Even before Whitney Houstons death they were saying she was broke & they showed pictures of her with red fluid on her ankles; saying it could have been blood from heroin (they reported LATER that it was just wine). I hate to say it but even though hes old we may be seeing the last days of Bill Cosby. Just watch the pattern.
