City Park has been protected! In a short speech this morning, DPR manager Lauri Danemiller announced the city is no longer pursuing The City Loop project in City Park, but will seek a new location. The Dustin Redd Playground will be repaired and the City will look at new equipment for the playground in 2-3 years with public input. More than 160 people showed up and I am told many more were turned away at the gate by the zoo for fear of overcrowding. A very exciting morning!
